firstly - thanks for initiative and invitation.

Secondly, could You clear up - is this an official offer from the club or just Your personal invitation? What exact club (as there're several) do You represent?

Thirdly, this offer is for lithuanian calibra club (and not for the separate members), isn't it? So we should consider the offer "as club", not by personal votes (our members, please keep it in mind - we have to vote inwards, afterward we'll publish an official answer, our suggestions and so on).

For less mess, it would be more constructive discussion, if there talked our representatives, not individuals.

So, I guess, we'll be able to discuss Your offer inward and make some clear point on it from our side. Otherwise there'll be lot of mess & votes without any possible actions

Hello, again! We represent Latvia Calibra Club (www.calibra.lv). Our club administration (after voting) decided that we could join you at the Calibra Grand Meeting 2008. It would be kind if you keep us in touch about this meeting info@calibra.lv We hope that this party will succeed.

But anyway some of our members wants go to Lithuania in winter, maybe we could join you in some mini party and look around? (informally meeting)

after some inward debates we're happy to invite Latvia calibra club to the nearest two events.

Names of events and aproximate dates are below

a) SPRING GRAND MEET in Vilnius (also known as VLN GM or VGM) on March 26th +/- one week
b) SUMMER GRAND MEET in Klaipeda (also known as KLP GM or KGM) on August 15th +/- one week


The exact dates will be posted roughly in one month before each event. Please schedule that dates and don't forget to contact us at least few weeks before the event (we'll have to know the exact number of guests to book some rooms and for other organizational purposes).


Programme of event (preliminary)

First part "public":
1. welcome/meet
2. parade (huge row of calibras which will be escorted by police through the city)
3. car show

Second part "closed" (party at homestead; entry allowed only for our members and guests) :
4. different types of competitions
5. christening new members
6. partytime

Second day :
7. breakfast and treatment of headache
8. stake (Шашлык)
9. awards/prizes/etc.
10. going home... (& waiting for new events)



We would appreciate meeting Latvia's calibra club members in our SPRING or/and SUMMER meetings. Please publish that information in Latvia's calibra club website/forum (and please link to this page). And... thanks for the patience waiting for our answer

We`ll think about it, but in March we`ll be 99%, only we don't know how many peoples we`ll be, but we`ll tell it at least 2 weeks before.

I think, we'll let you know the exact SPIRNG GRAND MEET date in a few weeks.

to help us be organized and not to annoy you - what are options for sleeping places? some of us might go to Lithuania with families - with small kids, so we would need something more than place under the table

what date would be nice deadline to inform you how many sleepingplaces we'll need?

Sorry for the delay, there's now clear exact timeline of PUBLIC PART (evening/private part programme I gave before):




12:00 "welcome" : Calibra club LT members from Vilnius meet members from other cities in Vilnius at "Sporto rumai" parking place. Cars should be parked in rows. Please follow the moderator's guidelines!


12:15-13:00 "registration" : all participants (not only car drivers, also passengers) register themselves and cars. Please get acquainted with row-course and ask for "participant card" (which should be give to every participant).

13:00-13:15 "formation of car-row" : please obediently follow for the moderator's commands!

Atention! only tidily looking calibras will be allowed to participate in a row! No rusted, damaged or dirty calibras will be allowed neither other cars which are not calibras. They should be left at the parking place (nothing will happen with these cars - all we'll return there again in an a few hours). Those, who will leave their cars at a parking place - please cooperate as passengers with these, who's allowed to participate in a row.


13:15-14:00 "course" : huge car-row escorted with police cars move towards the city center. No overtakes! No drunk drivers! Keep safe distance! Don't loose ahead car! TRAFFIC LIGHTS SHOULD BE IGNORED, as we will be escorted by police cars. Please turn on calibra alarm lights.

14:00-15:30 "carshow" : car-row will move into Gedimino avenue and stop there for a while. Please turn off music from the cars (except only one, which will be appointed by organisators)! No cigarette-end dropping! No drinking alcohol! No garbage dropping on the pavement! No burnouts!

15:30-... : leaving the Gedimino avenue and going back to "Sporto rumai" parking place.
Gedimino avenue should be left in absolute cleanness, with no oil leak marks, garbages, burnout marks. The place will be inspected by city maintenance service and we'll be surcharged if there will be any pretext for it.
